First: Selling Terms and Conditions
- Interested salvage buyer (bidder) shall carefully inspect the vehicle prior to purchasing process. When submitting a salvage offer (quotation), salvage buyer is definitely considered fully aware of the vehicle’s condition and accordingly selling is effected on the basis of “vehicle current condition and its present location”.
- In no case shall the company be responsible for any lost items in the vehicle including its plates and key. In addition, the company is not liable for shouldering any costs such as the fees payable for “Ownership Transfer”, “Official Delivery of its Plates” or any violations to the vehicles after 45 days of the Release Declaration or the like.
- Salvage buyer interested in bidding should deposit SR 5,000 per auction as a certified bank guarantee issued in the Company for Cooperative Insurance (Tawuniya), refundable in case his salvage offer is not successful. (This amount will not be included in the purchase price).
- Salvage buyer will be notified of obtaining the vehicle after announcement of results. He will be obligated to pay as per his quotation and withdraw the vehicle from wreck yard within three (3) days of notification date. Otherwise, a delay penalty of SR 50 per day shall be applicable on him.
- Salvage buyer should transfer the ownership of the wrecks with a maximum one week period from the contract date whether he intends to hand over the plates or transfer the ownership by the official authorities concerned.
- The vehicle will be handed over to the buyer after bringing the evidential proof of ownership transfer.
- In case the ownership is not transferred during the above period, Tawuniya will not be responsible for the wrecks and the official authorities concerned will be notified accordingly.
- Tawuniya undertakes to pay the renewal costs of vehicle registration (Estimara) up to SR 300 for private vehicle and SR 700 for Transport vehicle if no mention is made to the Estimara expiry on the auto salvage general list and its ownership is transferred within one day of the purchasing date. Tawuniya will not bear any other obligations such as keys issuing fees whether mentioned in (45) List or not.
Second: Penalties
- In case the salvage buyer withdraws his quotation without indicating justifiable reasons acceptable to Tawuniya, the bank guarantee paid for bidding shall be deducted. If he repeats such withdrawal, he will be deprived of any further auctions along with deleting his name of wreck buyers list. The company shall have the right to apply this penalty if it is revealed that he bids in the name of other salvage buyer who was not declared to the company.
- Quotations submitted after the decided deadline shall not be considered. When delivered to Tawuniya, the quotations should not be withdrawn, modified or amended.
- In case the submitted quotation contains any modification or erasure will not be considered and will be cancelled.
- Salvage buyer should be subject to enforcement of penalties stipulated in sub-section (1) above if he fails to refer to Tawuniya within three (3) days of his notification with auction result to finalize the selling procedures, effect payment of salvage value and submit the documents required.
Third: Selling Procedures
- Salvage buyer should complete the attached list and sign the declaration to confirm shouldering the entire responsibility for the data contained in the list. Salvage buyer should also follow-up all auction processes by himself or through an authorized attorney (by virtue of an official power of attorney).
- All quotations must be submitted to CMS-Motor/ Claim center in well-sealed envelopes. Salvage buyer may not use publications comprising the motto of Tawuinya and should write outside the envelope his name/ telephone number/ auction No and date.
