Most in-person business stopped with the extension of the Covid-19 lockdowns and curfews in the Kingdom, resulting in reduced revenue and a significant challenge to businesses to meet their obligations and fixed expenses. A survey by the General Authority for SMEs into the impact of Covid-19 reveals that 99.5% of the sample survey reported being negatively impacted by the pandemic, 46% indicated their average sales/revenue was affected by 100% and 21% temporarily laid off all their employees.
